Private · cozy · slow living
A private tiny house with ocean and wave view from your bed, ideal for guests who want to be as close as possible to the surf, simple comfort, nature, and a calm atmosphere.
Located directly on the beach of La Fortuna, the Tiny House offers a peaceful place to wake up with the sound of the sea (and be the first in the line-up). Best suited for couples or solo travelers looking to unplug and slow down.
About the Tiny House
The tiny home comfortably sleeps two guests in a queen bed in the loft, with the option for a third guest on the sofa below. Built in traditional Mexican style with a palapa roof and large hatch windows, the space stays naturally cool and breezy throughout the day.
You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen (fridge/freezer, stove, oven, sink, and utensils), a dedicated workspace with ocean views, and access to fast, reliable Starlink WiFi, ideal for remote work. There’s also ample storage and wardrobe space. You’ll have your own private space while sharing the sanitary facilities with only a few other guests. They’re well maintained and rarely busy.
This stay is perfect for travelers who enjoy a social, laid-back atmosphere and don’t mind sharing energy with others. It’s not the best fit if you’re looking for complete seclusion or total silence. Please note that on Sundays, the space often hosts cultural events such as live music, jam sessions, yoga classes, workshops, talks, and film screenings.

Other things: We run entirely on solar power and rely on water deliveries, so we encourage guests to be mindful of energy and water use. While we have backup systems like generators and always aim to keep things running smoothly, life off the grid can have its quirks, especially on cloudy days. If you’re a digital nomad or need guaranteed connectivity for a critical call, just give us a heads-up so we can ensure you’re covered. We’re here to help make your stay as seamless as possible!

Since there is no public transportation on the East Cape, the best way to get around is with a rental car. The East Cape road that leaves from San Jose is paved with concrete until the last 5km, which is then dirt road. There are no gas stations once you leave San Jose so make sure you have plenty in your tank.
From San Jose centro, the journey takes 20 minutes on concrete and another 10 minutes on the dirt road. Add another 25 minutes to get to or from the airport. The dirt road is regularly graded so you do not need a 4x4, although it is best not to mention to the car rental company that you intend to drive to the East Cape.
Driving at night must be done with extreme caution as the road is unlit and there are often cows or donkeys hanging around on the dirt road which you won't see until the last minute, especially when navigating corners. Drive slow and enjoy the views.
